Jordan Almes has been playing drums professionally in and around Houston since 2001. After growing up just outside of New York City, he moved to Houston to attend Rice University and study with the great tenor saxophonist Larry Slezak who directed the Jazz Studies program.
Jordan freelances for a wide range of musical groups on the Jazz, Top 40, Blues and R&B scenes. He co-writes and performs with the original jazz-fusion ensemble Groove Adhesive here in Houston. In addition to a busy performing schedule Jordan also takes the time to teach privately.
